An excellent run by Emma Brennan on Saturday at the very competitive All-Ireland Schools Cross Country in Waterford. Moyne CS student Emma placed 11th of 72 finishers in the junior girls 2500m ran on a challenging, undulating course with soft underfoot conditions.
Emma and her teammates Martha Miney, Eleanor Reilly and Leah McVeigh combined to finish seventh in the team standings. Moyne CS was also represented by Orla Miney who placed well in the minor girls and Aironas Andriuska in the junior boys while Cnoc Mhuire’s Ella Brady ran in the inter girls.
Well done to all for running so well on a tough course and good to see a growing number of Longford qualifiers each year at the event
