Longford Athletics Club host the Co. Longford Primary Schools Cross Country on Sunday, 25 September at Moyne Community School starting at 5.00 pm.
There will be four Primary Schools races on the evening:

| 2 | 3rd / 4th Boys | 1000 metres |
| 3 | 5th / 6th Girls | 1200 metres |
| 4 | 5th / 6th Boys | 1200 metres |
There is no limit on the number of athletes entered from a school in each race. Children can run as individuals and, if there are enough from the same school, they can also form a team with the first 4 finishers counting towards the team score.
Medals will be presented after each race to the first finishers. Once the full results are finalised, team medals will be awarded.
The races also serve as qualifiers to the Connacht Primary Schools Cross Country which takes place at Moyne CS on 22 October.
Following the Primary Schools races in Moyne on 25 September, there will be races for Post-Primary Schools which are open to all schools in or outside Co. Longford.
Junior race: 2000m / Senior race: 3000m.
Registration begins at 4.00 pm with an entry fee of €3 per child.
Primary Schools are requested to complete their registration sheets and have money collected for one representative (teacher or parent) to hand in at the registration desk.
