As part of this coming Friday’s evening (October 11th) of road races event, Fastest Feet also returns to the Athletics Centre.
Led by Dermot McDermott from Believe And Achieve, Fastest Feet involves children running a timed 10-metre run between two timing gates.
It is open to children that will be aged 8 on February 8th next. Two years ago, the same initiative was held and resulted in two of our young club members Vilte and Jairo winning an all expenses paid trip to New York and got to run at the Millrose Games.
Children can do their 10-metre run at any stage between 7.45pm – 9.15pm. No registration is required for Fastest Feet and participants do not need to be Longford AC members.
Access to the Athletics Centre on Friday will be by the main St. Mel’s College avenue entrance only.
