On a wet and breezy St. Patrick’s Day morning, club members were among the large entry at the road races in Portlaoise and Mullingar.
A high-quality field gathered for the Streets of Portlaoise 5k where Fiona Gettings warmed up for next week’s international with a swift 17:25 clocking to finish well inside the top ten.
There were over 1200 for the half marathon in Mullingar which saw Barry Sheil (third place), John Scott, Seamus Murtagh, Charlie Barone, John Farrell and Deirdre Coffey all set good times despite the wet conditions.
