Ray Flynn Mile
To mark 40 years of Ray’s status as Ireland’s fastest-ever miler, the Ray Flynn Mile returns on Wednesday September 21 at 7pm. Registration is open at the Pop Up Races website. Ray will be there on the evening during his visit back to Longford from his home in Tennessee. The mile will be held in and around the grounds of St. Mel’s College where Ray’s running story began.
Royal Canal Camino
The Royal Canal Camino Walk takes place on Saturday October 1. The 38-kilometre route commences at Abbeyshrule finishing beside St. Mel’s Cathedral. Coach transfer before the walk will bring participants from the event HQ at St. Mel’s College to the starting point. The walk is a fundraiser for the completion of our new indoor athletics centre at the College. Full details at www.royalcanalcamino.ie
Juvenile Training
Juvenile and Little Athletics returns in September. Information has been sent by email to parents of club members. With group sizes now at capacity, no new membership is currently being taken.
Schools Cross Country
The Schools Cross Country will take place on Saturday September 24 at Moyne Community School.
